Creating a Brighter Future

VGroup International has recently undertaken an ambitious three-year community development program that will see underprivileged children in one of the remotest parts of China be given valuable learning opportunities.

The project is based in the Yunnan Province, the most southwesterly region of China. The province covers more than 150,000 square miles and has a population exceeding 44 million. Until recent times, most of Yunnan was not easily reachable as it was cut off from communication with the outside world by precipitous mountains which cover over 84% of the province.

Whilst development in Yunnan over the past 10 years has continued at pace, it remains one of China's relatively undeveloped areas, with more poverty-stricken counties than any other province and agriculture still forming the base of the local economy.

VGroup International hopes to bring fresh opportunity to some of the children living in the remotest parts of Yunnan Province, by supporting, funding and playing an active role in the development of three new schools over the next three years. VGroup hopes that the assistance provided will enable more children from the area to receive the education they deserve and the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

We believe that this project will create a brighter future for some of the most underprivileged children in China and contribute positively to their personal and educational development.
